This week, Bob and Lejon are back together again, chatting at large about their favorite fantasy stories and series.
And, far more important than that, they have pimps this week!
Listen to the episode for complete details.
Pimps of the Geek:
Lejon: Grimm’s Complete Fairy Tales
Bob: Politcally Correct Bedtime Stories
Tags: C. S. Lewis, Douglas Adams, Favorite Fantasy, Margaret Weis, Neil Gaiman, Raymond E. Feist, Robert Jordan, Tracy Hickman
All is good in the fantasy world… but I completely enjoyed the Dune Universe Prequels and Legends. Of course they are more informational books to give details on how the whole story of Dune came about. It still is not Frank.
Next week will be sci-fi authors, but we didn’t really feel Dune was more Fantasy than Sci-Fi. Besides, I feel Dune was lacking because it didn’t show how the normal person lives, only royalty.
1. As soon as November & NaNoWriMo is done I will be devouring my copy of the latest WoT book. And it is Brandon Sanderson, not …ah … did you say David?
2. It makes me livid that “they” decided to reorder the Chronicles of Narnia. So stupid. Aaaaaaaaaah!
3. I somehow never managed to read the rest of the series, but Darkness of Sethanon was awesome. And I dug the Janny Wurts collab series.
4. I love Weis & Hickman, but the original Dragonlance trilogy is the best they’ve ever done. That series makes my hair stand up.
5. Sandman is awesome because it touches everything and yet it rarely involves Morpheus but somehow everything does. This goes in the pile of awesome that makes me cry on multiple read throughs. Like the end of season one of Farscape. But that isn’t fantasy.
Hi!
